An exhibition of photography by the fotoMuses.
January 5 – February 3, 2012
Representing a wide range of ages, races, and ethnic backgrounds, fotoMuses is a group of women photographers with many similarities… and many differences.
Working in various photographic genres and styles, they combine their passion for photography to create a unique body of work. They share a love for the old… yet look to a future of change, discovering a blend of old and new… developing fluid with pixels runs through their veins!
The photographer Edward Steichen may have said it best, “Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created.”
In their work, the fotoMuses strive to record those feelings, that beauty and confusion, and the emotions they experience in reaction to the world through the lens of a camera.
