ACA Secures $100,000 for Permanent Home!
10/10/2007
The Addison Center for the Arts has finally secured a permanent home.
The ACA will have a welcome center, gallery and share innovative performance space with Addison Trail High School. This intergovernmental agreement between the Addison Center for the Arts, District 88 and Addison Trail High School and the Village of Addison, will benefit students, adults and residents from not only Addison but from the surrounding communities.
We will ‘kick-off’ our Capital Campaign to raise funds for this permanent Center for the Arts with our first grant secured with the help of Representative Dennis Reboletti, from the State of Illinois. Rep. Reboletti assisted in our receiving $100,000 for construction costs associated with the design and building plans for this new, modern Center for the Arts.
Our new Center for the Arts will support our active programming that includes theater performances hosted by the Addison Community Theater as well as musical performances and other print art from the Addison Art Guild and organizations from the surrounding areas. Our hope is that this Center and the space we will be designing and adding to the expansion at Addison Trail H.S. will be an attraction for many organizations that are looking for creative space to display art and host performances that can be shared with residents of our community.
We want to THANK Representative Reboletti and appreciate his support in garnering our first of many contributions toward this wonderful project!
